We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory Specialist. As a leading company in the Commercial Flooring industry, we are taking our inventory management to the next level.

An Inventory Specialist has two main priorities – to make sure nothing goes into or leaves our warehouse without being checked in and out of our inventory system, and to perform rolling inventory counts to ensure an accurate inventory. You will also identify any discrepancies or losses so they can be prevented from happening again.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for tracking all inventory to ensure our company maintains proper inventory levels for flooring products, setting materials, and installation supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receiving new materials that arrive into Sortly, our inventory system
• Loading out materials that are being sent to jobsites from Sortly
• Perform weekly inventory counts to ensure accurate inventory
• Help load and unload trucks for deliveries or from vendors
• Use a forklift to locate or re-locate materials as needed
• Maintaining inventory storage space in the store’s warehouse
• Preventing shrinkage of product by ensuring people don’t take materials without permission
• Communicating with management about any inventory issues 
• Provide Reporting to the Project Team on missing or aging inventory

Requirements and skills

• Prior work experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Valid WA State driver license
• Fork lift experience and/or certification
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Pass a background check and drug screening
